Goods In Manager

Pay: From £30,000 per year

Job Overview
We are seeking a Goods-in Manager to oversee the efficient management of incoming goods within our packaging warehouse. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and stored correctly while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the goods-in area to ensure the timely and accurate receipt of products.
  • Assist with the management of two drivers, lorry servicing and associated tachographs.
  • Manage two warehouse staff in Goods In and provide management cover for 6 additional warehouse operatives during holidays.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage logistics operations related to incoming goods, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, warehouse cleanliness and supplier non-compliance.
  • Utilise forklift equipment safely for the movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Assist with stock taking and monitor profit and loss related to goods-in activities and implement strategies for cost control.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Qualified in Counterbalance or Reach truck.
  • Sage experience would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and their implementation in a warehouse setting of 2000 pallet spaces.

Account Manager – Packaging Division

 
Pay:  Package from £30,000.00 per year
 

Job Overview:

Working with our external Sales Manager this internal sales support position is responsible for all customers based in our Northern Sales Area, commencing at Junction 28 of the M1 up to Leeds. This person will also be tasked with managing all enquiries and orders generated from this busy sales area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing sales orders received daily via email or telephone and keeping customers informed of our current stock holding and delivery dates.
  • Managing the bespoke re-order levels and stock requirements of existing customers.
  • Obtain best cost prices and lead times from external suppliers.
  • Supporting external Sales Manager and working as a team to prioritise growth of the sales area.

Experience

  • You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar job role.
  • A professional telephone manner, organised nature with commercial mindset.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop, retain and build confidence with customers via excellent account management.
  • Competent IT skills are essential for this busy role .
  • Experience using Sage Accounts is preferred.
